The European Union might “respond swiftly and decisively” in response to what it deems “unwarranted” travel bans issued by the US on five European individuals working on fighting digital hatred and misinformation, a European Commission spokesperson has said.

EU Officials Condemn US Action as ‘Intimidation’

European leaders including the French president accused the US administration of “bullying and threats”, after the visa restrictions were placed on individuals who have been at the heart of efforts to introduce laws governing American tech companies.
